We've had the Live 8 Concerts streaming at home all day--Stevie Wonder just finished singing "Superstition" in Philadelphia; Pink Floyd recently played in London. So inspiring to see people coming together to fight poverty through the arts. I read that tens of thousands of people wearing white created a human chain around the capital in Edinburgh today, where the G8 Summit is being held. Just thinking about that image gives me chills. We have so much collective power, and I love to see that being embodied (with so many bodies!) We have so much individual power, too. If you have a chance to see the G8-themed HBO movie, The Girl in the Cafe, please check it out--it is a beautiful and hopeful vision of how one voice can change the world.

Hi. Not related to this post, I'm afraid, but I thought you and your readers might be interested in Buy a Friend a Book Week. It's on right now: see http://www.buyafriendabook.com. Basically, it's meant to promote reading and book sales: good karma, good books. If you like the idea, pass it on!
