I hope to write about my trip to Toronto soon; in the meanwhile, here's a little essay I wrote about Sarah Palin and my own brief experience as Annie Oakley: Sarah, Put Down Your Gun.

Loved the essay, Gayle! It's almost over ... hopefully on Nov 5 we will be cheering. xox, Laraine

FABULOUS essay, Gayle. Love the comparison to Pee Wee's famous "I'm a loner Dottie, a rebel," line.

I'll tell you, I have never been so stressed over an election. I look at Palin and wonder how we reached this point - where Caribou Barbie (as she's been aptly dubbed) could end up in the White House. At this point I can only hope that American voters finally stand up and say "enough," and do the right thing. Come November 5th, I will either be in a state of euphoria, or curled up in the fetal position under my desk.

Scary times. Hoping for the best . . .

Aw, thanks you two wonderful Arizona people! (How are you, Kathy? I hope you've been writing up a storm!)

Yes, yes, hopefully we'll be cheering on November 5th and not curled into fetal positions! :)

I'm so grateful we don't have to wait much longer (assuming we don't end up in a crazy 2000 situation...)

Thanks again!
