I didn't have a chance to post this link yesterday, and the High Holy Days are officially over now, but you can still read my thoughts about Days of Awe over at CommonDreams.
I may not be a Jew, but I've always believed that what you've written should be what Judaism should be about, instead of the blind support of the neocon/Bush/Sharon policies that it has turned into.
I am linking the article to my own blog as well for even more people to read. Thanks again.
Thanks so much, Rachel! I really appreciate your kind words.
I can understand where you're coming from, re blind support of necon/Bush/Sharon policies, but I honestly don't think that's what Judaism has become--at least not the Judaism I am privy to (which, I admit, is a very liberal swath.) Most Jews I know are not fans of Sharon; most are horrified by the situation in Palestine. Judaism has so much peace and social justice woven into its core. I think just as Bush does not represent true Christianity--just an extreme slice of it--Sharon et al do not represent true Judaism, which is full of beauty and social responsibility.
